		<description>You are absolutely correct that clinical trial recruitment is time-consuming, expensive, and often a hit-or-miss process.  You are also correct that the personal health record is an excellent tool for identifying prospects.  I would suggest that much of the work on informed consent could be done in advance as a PHR application, and that potential participants could identify themselves as being interested in clinical trial participation.  I would suggest further that those trying to do recruiting could do a great deal more with social networking than they have done.</description>
